Today at the pre-match briefing at Celtic park before the Kilmarnock match,it was confirmed by security staff that following recent events surrounding Celtic and the chanting and inappropriate uefa banner in Udinese a week ago, where a security chief was assaulted by Celtic fans. The club stated today that 6 fans were notified in the post by letter yesterday that they were receiving lifetime bans from the club, with a further 2 expected within the coming days, once action has been taken to find the other 2. This just further demonstrates the stance that the club are taking on the recent rogue culture from certaiwn sections of support.
In another topic discussed today,it has also been noted from security staff that the club will be receiving a heavy fine from uefa in january regarding the fuck uefa banner they displayed, and also for the fans who assaulted stewards and security officials. The club have said that they expected to be hammered with a fine of no less than €40,000 (£33,470). This again is a major blow to Celtic, and shows that yet again this behaviour will cost the club a lot of money, which in turn affects you,the paying season ticket holders, and fans who buy merchandise. It was also noted that the club if they face any further action from uefa may see the next fine,if any, doubled again, taking it to around £70,000 and so on. Time for some people to grow up and see that the club they claim to love so much, are being damaged not only financially, but also in reputation.
Hail hail,bring on the rangers.
Also Please remember that this was discussed at Celtic park during a briefing, the club to our knowledge has not confirmed this information officially,in the press or on their website, but the information we received was from security staff during a match briefing today.
