Travelled nice and early to celtic park today, 3pm no less, for what was always expected to be a tasty shift. Around 5pm it was looking likely that the game would be called off as the fierce winds were causing problems to a lot of the technical equipment at Celtic park, mainly the giant screens. "hurricane Hunskelper" was certainly making it hard work before a ball had been kicked.
But the game was free to go ahead and the potential 15 point gap was about to take an amazing, but expected turn. Celtic went out and played a decent game, and fought for everything, against a rangers side that offered nothing. A ball over the line, apparently, buoy not given, but in the end,it mattered not one bit,as Celtic held out for a well deserved step up to the top of the pile.
Credit has to go out to the bhoys who were all but written off as little as 6 weeks ago. Now sitting 2 ahead tonight, and in all honesty, not looking like being caught again this season.
A major corner has been turned and it can be unchallenged really as to if Celtic will win the league,Celtic are doing what they couldnt last season, and that was finish teams off,or at least hold out for a result. Now they are doing this and it is showing.
A fairly tame atmosphere compared to others tonight, but the game was never ever going to be as bad, given the fact that only one team showed up.
Out of the 7,241 travelling fans,114 seats ripped out,and all away toilets trashed. Ceilings destroyed, toilets smashed, you name it. Seems the parkhead toilets for that lot were very busy a lot of them were looking for a place to hide, they were prepared to rip It to bits to find somewhere to do so. Although it will be a nice little bill they will receive to repair the damage which will run into the thousands. Good to hear they have yet more money to pay out, especially to the hoops.
Not that it matters, rumour is they will be taken over by an administration group by the end of January anyway.
Hail hail and a very happy new year to all of our followers.hail hail.
